  I have registered for the event, what happens next? 

Once registered, you will receive an email confirming your booking and providing you with a registration link to access the event portal (please be sure to check your junk folder). This link will be live approximately two weeks before the event to allow you to access and become familiar with the portal. We would recommend that you take the time to visit the portal as soon as it opens so you can become familiar with the space before the event.

 What if the link does not work or I experience technical difficulties? 

We have a dedicated ‘Convention Virtual Events Team’ who will be on hand before and during the event to assist you with any technical questions you may have and to support you if you experience any issues. The team can be contacted on:
virtualsupport@conferencecare.com or 02476 369747 prior to the event, also via a Live Chat function during the event itself. 

 How do I connect to the event? 

We strongly recommend connecting via laptop or desktop PC to ensure you have the best viewing experience. You can attend and access the event via a phone or tablet and still be able to be able to watch the live workshops; however, some of the features of the portal may not work if using these mobile devices. We also recommend using headphones if possible for the best experience – however these are not an essential requirement. 

 I am not very confident with IT or online systems, will there be instructions? 

When you access the event portal there is an instruction video which will provide you information on the different areas of the portal and what you can expect.  We have a dedicated ‘Convention Virtual Events Team’ who will be on hand before and during the event to assist you with accessing all the elements of the portal and to answer any questions that you may have.   

 Can I change my session(s) after I have booked? 

If you wish to change the session you are attending, please e-mail the virtual events team: virtualsupport@conferencecare.com  as soon as possible.  Please note that we can only accept changes up to 2 days before the start of the event.  

 What happens if a session I am attending changes? 

We will make every effort to ensure that the sessions advertised go ahead. Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, speakers and or sessions need to change .If this should happen, we will advise you in advance and arrange for you to choose an alternative session for that time slot.

  Can I cancel my booking if I can no longer attend? 

Even if you cannot attend on the day, your booking will provide you access to recordings of all the workshops and plenary/keynote sessions up to and including 30 November. 

If you still wish to cancel, you can do so up to 14 days before the event and receive a full refund. If your cancellation is received between 14 – 8 days before the event we can offer you attendance to an alternative event of the same value (or an alternative event of increased value where the difference is paid). Cancellations received with 7 days or less notice before the event will not receive a refund. If you cancel you will not have access to any recordings. 


 Can I transfer my booking to someone else if I cannot attend? 

We cannot transfer your booking to another person once booked. Remember, if you cannot attend the live event, your booking will provide you access to recordings of all the workshops and plenary/keynote session up to and including the 30 November.  

 How is my booking data used and stored?

The information you provide at booking will be for exclusive use by the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) and the event platform supplier Conference Care and be held securely in line with GDPR regulations for the exclusive purposes of this event. The iO will not share your data with any third parties.
