Bursaries

Sponsored by just running

Each year, we provide up to 15 bursary places for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scottish Fundraising Conference. These bursaries help support fundraisers who are unable to fund a conference ticket of their own. This is an effective way to support the development of fundraisers for the future. This year, the bursaries are generously supported by justrunning.

Criteria:

  • It is desirable that the applicant is a practicing fundraiser based in Scotland and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
  • It is essential that the applicant can attend both days of the conference.
  • It is desirable to award bursaries to those who work for organisations who would not normally have the resources to allow the applicant to attend the conference.
  • It is desirable to award bursaries to people who would be attending the conference for the first time.
  • It is essential that the applicant has clearly demonstrated how their attendance at the conference will assist their own learning and development.
  • It is essential that the applicant has demonstrated willingness to take learning back to their organisations and apply it in practice.
  • It is essential that the applicant has reviewed the conference programme and given a clear indication on how they will use their time at the conference (e.g. applicant has identified multiple sessions that they would like to attend and explained why they are of value.)
  • We welcome applications from all who meet the criteria regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.

Bursary Sponsor

"Justrunning.com is for charities and organisations of all sizes including small local charities, local schools, regional businesses up to large national charities and businesses, essentially it is an inclusive platform for all. With that in mind, we felt we aligned nicely with the 'bursary' sponsor position, so we could assist those smaller organisations who could not afford to send their fundraisers to this conference. We are delighted to help develop these fundraisers of the future and the bursary sponsor position of the Scotland conference is a great start to doing just that."
